India has one of the richest textile traditions in the world. But how often do we see that heritage reflected in the clothes young people actually want to wear every day?
At Aagordrip, we believe culture shouldn't be locked in museums. It should be lived, worn, and celebrated on the streets.
Who Are the Bodo People?
The Bodo are one of the largest plains tribal communities of Northeast India, primarily from Assam. Their culture is rich with music, dance, and most famously — their traditional textiles.
The Aaronai is one of the most sacred of these textiles. Traditionally handwoven, it is gifted as a mark of respect and worn during ceremonies. It carries the weight of generations of identity.
Why Streetwear?
Streetwear is the language of youth culture today. By bringing the Aaronai into streetwear, we're amplifying the culture — saying this heritage is powerful enough to stand on any stage in the world.
